Type of article: Article

Summary

A HELIUM 3-HELIUM 4 DILUTION REFRIGERATOR WITH A LOWEST TEMPERATURE OF 1.90 + OR -0.05 MILLIK AND A MAXIMUM CIRCULATION RATE OF 10 MILLIMOL/S HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED. THE APPARATUS IS AT PRESENT USED FOR THE STUDY OF HELIUM 3 IN HIGH MAGNETIC FIELDS AND AS A PRECOOLING STAGE FOR NUCLEAR DEMAGNETIZATION. THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE DILUTION REFRIGERATOR ARE DESCRIBED.
