Summary
The method and equations presented in this paper can be used for good estimation of the fluid charge of condensers and evaporators operating in an established intratubular two-phase regime. The basic influence of the internal volume of the exchanger can be seen. The condenser contains a greater fluid charge, and should be a design priority.
