Summary
REFRIGERANT R134A IS CONSIDERED AS A POTENTIAL SUBSTITUTE FOR R12 AND THE AUTHORS HAVE FORMULATED SIMPLE EQUATIONS FOR CALCULATING REFRIGERANT PROPERTIES SUCH AS VAPOUR PRESSURE, SPECIFIC VOLUME AND SPECIFIC ENTROPY AND ENTHALPY. THESE NEW EQUATIONS AGREE WELL WITH EXPERIMENTAL VALUES. IT IS POINTED OUT, HOWEVER, THAT THESE EQUATIONS MUST BE REGARDED AS PRELIMINARY SINCE THEY ARE BASED ON RELATIVELY FEW MEASUREMENTS.
