Summary
Description of a new concept of the water source heat pump working in the conditions icing and the results of the preliminary investigation. A stand for experimental investigation of the heat pump was built close to the open pool of volume 400 m3. The heat pump was investigated in the period of low temperatures of both air and water t < 4°C in the basin. The coefficient of performance (COP) of the water heat pump was investigated during the process of ice formation on the surface of the exchanger of the lower heat source.
