Summary
Neisseria meningitidis serogroup B strain was freeze-dried using 6 different preservation media. It was observed that a high proportion of sucrose in the freeze-drying medium increases the survival after process but that sodium glutamate was injurious. The influence of two culturing methods before freeze-drying and the behaviour of the lyophilized strain at different storage temperatures was also studied.
