Summary
THE PAPER REPORTS ON MEASUREMENTS OF HELIUM II PRESSURE DROP ACROSS 2 POROUS SILICON DIOXIDE CERAMIC FILTER MATERIALS. THE RESULTS ARE COMPARED WITH THOSE PREVIOUSLY OBTAINED USING FINE MESH SCREENS. GOOD QUALITATIVE AGREEMENT IS OBSERVED FOR TURBULENT FLOW ; HOWEVER, THE BEHAVIOUR IN THE LAMINAR FLOW REGIME IS NOT FULLY UNDERSTOOD.
