Summary

There are many factors on the ice agglomeration, among which, the supercooler's surface appearance is an important one. In order to change the surface appearance, this paper introduces an improvement which uses a kind of fluorocarbon nano-material smeared on the supercooler's inner surface. This nano-material can decrease the surface free energy, which based on the previous study, the growth of ice crystals will be restrained; it is also highly hydrophobic, which can prevent the crystals from adhering to the supercooler. With such efficacy, the possibility of ice agglomeration will be decreased enormously, and even more important, a much higher degree of supercooling will be achieved with the coating of fluorocarbon.
