Proceedings of the 21st international conference on low temperature physics.
Date: 1996.08.08 / 1996.08.14
Location: Prague, Czech (Republic)
Summary
These proceedings, published in six volumes, contain about 1500 contributions submitted to this conference, held in Prague, Czech Republic, August 8 to 14, 1996, and co-sponsored by the IIR. Extract of contents: quantum fluids and solids (liquid helium; helium films; quantum solids; cryocrystals; Bose-Einstein condensation; superconductivity (low- and high-temperature superconduction); low-temperature properties of solids (magnetism; nuclear magnetism; amorphous solids; mesoscopic systems; metal-insulator transition and localization; electrons in 2D and weak localization; normal metals and insulators; correlated electrons; oxides; lattice structure and dynamics); techniques and applications (instrumentation; cryodevices and magnetometers; NMR and tunnelling; thermometers and detectors. The sixth volume includes invited talks and selected post-deadline contributions. A list of participants (62 p.) completes the collection. Some of the papers will be abstracted in a future issue of the IIR Bulletin.
