This issue of "Cryogenics" contains the 220 papers of the conference ICEC 1994, held in Genova, Italy, on June 7-10, 1994. It was organized by the International Cryogenic Engineering Committee and IIR Commission A1/2. Extract of contents: review papers which give a good overview of the situation in the major fields of development of cryogenic engineering; cryogenic systems (large liquefiers and refrigerators; small refrigerators and cryocoolers; cryostat technology and cryogenic components; heat exchange, contact and insulation; sensors and measuring methods; cryogenic materials, non-superconducting); superconducting technology (wires, cables, stability and losses; magnets and current leads; alternating-current and power applications - radiofrequency capacities; high-temperature superconducting tapes and other applications; films, junctions and electronics). Several papers will be abstracted in the IIR Bulletin.
