Summary

THE BASIC INFORMATION FOR THE DESIGN OF CONDITIONING SYSTEM OF PERISHABLE PRODUCE IS A KEEPABILITY DIAGRAM FOR THE PRODUCT CONCERNED. THEN THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS CAN BE ANSWERED: WHAT IS THE OPTIMAL CLIMATIC CONDITION; WHAT IS THE INFLUENCE ON QUALITY IF PARTS OF THE LOAD DO MEET A NON-OPTIMAL CLIMATE; WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM TRANSPORT TIME? THE CHOICE WHETHER THE TRANSPORT VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE INSULATED OR INSULATED AND REFRIGERATED IS DETERMINED BY THE TRANSPORT TIME, THE INSULATION VALUE OF THE VEHICLE BODY, AND THE HEAT PRODUCTION OF THE PRODUCE. IF THE CHOICE IS A REFRIGERATED VEHICLE THE AIR FLOW PATTERNS REQUIRE A LOT OF ATTENTION TO ASSURE THE TEMPERATURE RANGE OF THE CARGO BETWEEN SAFE LIMITS.
