Summary
Describes in some detail the new polyurethane foam insulation material PUR 2000 developed by Tarco Energi A/S, Denmark and the chemistry of its manufacture. Describes its characteristics. Maintains that by using cyclo-pentane as the propellant, the foam has no effect on the ozone layer and does not contribute to the greenhouse effect, while its insulating properties are the same as foams using the chlorofluorocarbon R11 as the propellant. In other respects its characteristics equal or exceed those of foam using R11.
