Recent advances on cryogenic and superconducting technologies in China.

Author(s) : ZHOU Y.

Summary

Cryogenic technologies play an important role in the development of science and technology. This article introduces some latest advances in China. The topics to be included are small-scale coolers, both the pulse tube coolers and mixed-refrigerant JT coolers, and a large-scale cryogenic system with 1 kW cooling power at liquid-helium temperature, which is used in the upgrading project of the Beijing Electron Positron Collider. Meanwhile, some prototype power applications of high Tc superconductors are also presented.
