Summary
THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIN FLEXIBLE CRYOPROBES OPENS UP NEW WAYS TO TREAT DISEASES OR LESIONS ACCESSIBLE TO ENDOSCOPIC DIAG-NOSIS. MOREOVER, THE IMPEDANCEMETRIC CONTROL PRESENTS GOOD EVIDENCE OF FREEZING PENETRATION. ENDO-CRYOTHERAPY COMPARES WELL WITH ALTERNATIVE METHODS SUCH AS LASER-OR ELECTRO-SURGERY, GENERALLY WITH LESS RISK AND MORE COMFORT FOR THE PATIENT: USUALLY GENERAL ANESTHESIA IS NOT NEEDED ; OUT-PATIENT OPERATION CAN BE PUT IN PRACTICE.
