Summary

RECENTLY, CYCLE COMPONENTS HAVE BEEN IMPROVED GREATLY IN THEIR PERFORMANCE AND EFFICIENCY. AS FOR COMPRESSORS, LARGE PROGRESS IN THEIR EFFICIENCIES HAVE BEEN MADE VIA DETAILED ANALYSES, SUCH AS MECHANICAL LOSSES AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW TYPE COMPRESSION MECHANISM. AS FOR HEAT EXCHANGERS, VARIOUS LARGE HEAT TRANSFER SURFACES HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED. FURTHER, THE EFFECT OF THE CAPACITY-MODULATED CYCLE IS EVALUATED QUANTITATIVELY THROUGH IMPROVEMENTS IN STATIC AND TRANSIENT CYCLE SIMULATION TECHNOLOGIES.
