Summary

The paper presents an operating mode based on open recirculated refrigeration systems and problems arising as a possible consequence of applying such a concept. The example of the refrigeration system of INA NAFTAPLIN CPS Molve III is used to demonstrate the equipment design and performances. Particular attention is paid to chemical treatments of cooling water, programme selection, applications of the automatic dosing control and treatment results.
