Recovery and containment of refrigerants in France.

Author(s) : SAUER F.

Summary

In France, as soon as 1989, the government has signed voluntary agreements with the industry in order to reduce CFC emissions. It is only in 1992, however, that regulations forbid degassing, and made registration compulsory for companies. Results already show a growth in collected quantities. However, a number of countries have not yet taken recovery (which is part of containment) into account, thus delaying protection of environment.
