Author(s) : BAUMGART R., TENBERGE P.

Summary

Today, most cars are equipped with an air conditioning system. However, using this system increases fuel consumption and therefore leads to additional CO2-emission. Currently, the Chemnitz University of Technology investigates several promising modifications for reducing CO2-emission. Some of these modifications were not considered in respective publications yet. The investigation results are presented in the paper and it will be shown that the CO2-emission caused by the air conditioning system can be reduced significantly.
