Summary

These proceedings contain the 76 papers of the 7th conference, co-sponsored by the IIR, held concurrently with the International Compressor Engineering Conference at Purdue University, USA, July 14-17, 1998. Three additional papers from the 1996 conference have also been included. General themes: CFC and HCFC replacements; issues with refrigerant mixtures; transcritical CO2 technology; simulation models and studies; supermarket refrigeration systems; thermodynamic and transport properties; heat transfer in refrigeration equipment; lubrication; capillary tubes; domestic refrigerators/freezers.
