Summary
This is the second part of Climafort's study on containment in large refrigerating installations. It covers means of avoiding intrinsic causes of leakage and accidental leakage. The implementation of flanges, seals, piping, valves and fittings is described in detail in this leakage prevention context. The use of valves in order to isolate plant and to prevent transfer of charge during repair or maintenance is often recommended.
