Summary
In 1978, the Wisconsin Vocational, Technical and Adult Education Board (currently, Wisconsin Technical College System Board, WTC) was attempting to implement new energy-efficient college facilities. This included a number of small campus facilities in smaller cities and several large campus facilities. Reedsburg Technical College selected a unique and new heating concept. This was an ice maker heat pump. Features and performances of the system are presented.
