Summary

TWO CHILLED WATER SYSTEMS ARE INSTALLED, ONE FOR A WIND TUNNEL, THE OTHER FOR A RADIATOR TEST STAND. BOTH ARE STANDARD TURBOCOMPRESSOR ASSEMBLIES USING R12. A THIRD SYSTEM SERVES A CLIMATIC TEST STAND WHICH PRODUCES WINDS AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 7.5 AND 130 KM/H AT TEMPERATURES FROM 233 TO 323 K (-40 TO 50 DEG C). FOR THIS A 2 STAGE SYSTEM USES TWO TURBOCOMPRESSORS OPERATING ON R12. THE HIGH STAGE CIRCUIT INCORPORATES AN INTERCOOLER/SUBCOOLER AND ALSO A COOLER/DEHUMIDIFIER FOR THE FRESH AIR SUPPLY. THE LOW STAGE CIRCUIT OPERATES ON LIQUID PUMP CIRCULATION. D.W.H.
