MEAT EXPORTS FROM NEW ZEALAND BEGAN IN 1882 ; AT PRESENT NEW ZEALAND IS ONE OF THE MAIN EXPORTING COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD, GETTING FROM THESE PRODUCTS MORE THAN ONE THIRD OF THE BENEFITS MADE IN THE TRADE WITH OVERSEA COUNTRIES. THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THIS TRADE LED TO THE EXTENSIVE USE AND DEVELOPMENT OF REFRIGERATION IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY.
