Summary

This article aims to summarize the major challenges in the refrigeration and air-conditioning service industry in the "new" EU-member states face in the association/harmonization process. There is a strong need for the refrigeration service industry in the countries with economies in transition to cooperate in national and international trade organizations to be able to influence the transition and to interpret all the relevant regulations.
