Renewable and high-efficient energy using geoheatexchangers.

Summary

The continually rising fuels price as result of the depletion of fossil fuels, means that a heating system based on carbon-intensive technology, long distance heat transportation and high energy efficiency will be no longer a viable option for a sustainable urban development. The success of the system with geoheatexchangers will be using the Earth energy as a source for heat pumps. Since the heat pumps are reversible, the system is balanced because in the winter it take the energy and in the summer the energy is put it back into the Earth. For a better understanding some cases study are presented [in the paper].
