Summary

PART 1. SIGNIFICANCE AND METHODOLOGY OF OPTIMIZATION. THIS PAPER SHOWS HOW THE SETTING OF ROOM ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS AND RATIONALIZATION OF SYSTEM DESIGN AFFECT ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND COST. COMPUTER CONTROL IS NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH OPTIMIZATION AND THE SYSTEM AND HIERARCHY OF IT ARE SHOWN AND OVERVIEWED. PREDICTION IS NECESSARY TO PRACTICE OPTIMAL CONTROL, THEREFORE SEVERAL PRACTICAL AND USEFUL METHODS OF ESTIMATION, WHICH INCLUDE SMOOTHING, FILTERING AND PREDICTING, ARE DESCRIBED. PART 2. AIR CONDITIONING INSTALLATION AND OPTIMALIZING CONTROL SYSTEM OF OSAKA OHBAYASHI BUILDING. AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM AND COMPUTERIZED OPTIMALIZING SYSTEM HARDWARE ARE INTRODUCED. DURING THE SYSTEM DESIGN, MAXIMUM RATIONALIZATION OF DESIGN TECHNIQUES WERE USED TO ESTABLISH MINIMUM ENERGY AIR CLEANLINESS.
