Summary

THE ARTICLE GIVES THE MAIN CHEMICAL AND MORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES WHICH OCCUR IN THE BULBS OF 3 VARIETIES OF ONION: AURIE DE BUZAU, DIAMANT AND GEANT DE STUTTGART DURING COLD STORAGE. THE TOTAL DRY MATTER, SOLUBLE DRY MATTER AND THE TOTAL TITRATABLE ACIDITY OF THE BULBS INCREASE FROM OCTOBER TO JANUARY, THEN DECREASE UNTIL APRIL. TOTAL SUGARS, REDUCING SUGARS AND SUCROSE DECREASE DURING THE ENTIRE STORAGE PERIOD.
