Summary

Energy consumption in almost all sectors is constantly increasing. The air conditioner is energy-intensive equipment and it is important to evaluate the energy consumption with reasonable accuracy. For evaluation of energy conservation of air conditioners, it is necessary to take into account the variations in the outdoor temperature, the heating/cooling load throughout a year and all the operating conditions. But according to the current standard, only a few known values and other estimated values are used to calculate the annual energy consumption of air conditioners. The legitimacy of current standard needs to be assessed. The seasonal performance of air conditioners was tested and an appropriate method of energy conservation evaluation was investigated.
