Summary
The authors numerically simulated the temperature field of the vertical U-tube; the results closely agree with the measured data. The article provides relationships between the heat rejection, the buried depth and the radial influencing radius of the U-tube, recommended as a practical reference for ground-coupled heat pump system design.
