RESEARCH ON THE RESISTANCE OF FINNED TUBE BUNDLES. EIGHT STAGGERED TUBES AT 0.3 TO 1.6 PITCH. PRANDTL NUMBERS BETWEEN 80 AND 5,000, REYNOLDS NUMBERS BETWEEN 20 AND 2 MILLIONS, THE OPTIMUM GEOMETRIC CHARACTERISTICS ARE SUBJECT TO HEAT TRANSFER AND FLOW OF THE HIGHLY VISCOUS LIQUID. THE SHAPE RESISTANCE COEFFICIENT AND THE EULER NUMBER ARE EXPRESSED AS FUNCTIONS OF REYNOLDS NUMBER. BERMAN AND CHEN NUMBERS ARE DEFINED BY EXPERIMENTAL DATA.
