Summary
Absorber designs and the enhancement techniques used are reviewed in the paper. Performance of various absorber designs is summarised with emphasis on the heat and mass transfer coefficients. The review includes two absorbers using rotating discs and drums. This review also describes an evaporative cooled absorber developed at the Heat Pump Laboratory, IIT, Bombay.
