Summary
In this article, the authors present some of the results obtained through theoretical and experimental analysis of a candidate new eco-refrigerant, in accordance with European environmental legislation, and the Montreal and Kyoto Protocols. In order to replace polluting refrigerants such as CFCs, HFCs and HCFCs, they present a new refrigerant that can be used on a large scale: dimethylether (DME).
