Summary

Air conditioning systems and reversible heat pumps are essential elements in buildings and for the comfort of occupants. For four years, French regulation has transposed article 15 of the directive 20101311EU, about the periodic inspection of air conditioning systems which the capacity is superior of 12 kW. The inspection includes an assessment of efficiency, sizing of the system and recommendations concerning the best use of systems, regarding the cooling requirements of the building. The inspection shall take place at least every five years. This article gives an overview of the current regulation and the evolutions to come, as a revision is intended to improve French regulation about the periodic inspection of air conditioning system and reversible heat pumps.
