Summary

THERMAL STORAGE IS A SOLUTION FOR USING THE HEAT REJECTED BY THE CONDENSERS OF REFRIGERATING MACHINERY. THE HEAT CAN BE TRANSFERRED TO A STORAGE BANK IN THE STATIONARY OR TRANSIENT STATE. THE POTENTIAL ENERGY SAVINGS AND THE POSSIBILITIES OF USING THE HEAT OF CONDENSATION ARE NOT IDENTICAL ACCORDING TO THESE TWO REGIMES AND DEPEND ALSO UPON THE TYPE OF CONDENSER AND ASSOCIATED CONTROL DEVICES EMPLOYED.
