Summary

This technical report proposes a plan allowing the proceeding with the evaluation of risks linked to flammable liquid refrigerants used in domestic refrigerators and freezers containing Group A3 liquid refrigerants in accordance with EN 378-1, whilst considering the tightness of the system and a load of liquid refrigerant less than or equal to 150 g. Tight systems are refrigeration systems in which the tightness of components containing liquid refrigerants is achieved by welding, brazing or a permanent fitting.
