Summary
On the basis of the second law of thermodynamics, the refrigeration cycle has been described by means of the differences of entropy and appropriate works as effects of irreversible processes. This part of the article presents the real thermal impact of the working medium and the heat sources in the Carnot cycle of heat pumps, as well as the effect of refrigerant subcooling.
