Summary

Two sets of multifilamentary niobium-titanium strands were subjected to interlaboratory testing: 1) copper matrix, filament diameters: 0.5, 1, 3, and 12 micrometers; 2) cupronickel matrix, filament diameters: 0.4, 0.5, and 1 micrometer. In the light of all the results, factors contributing to alternating-current loss error are discussed and recommendations are made concerning the specification of future alternating-current loss measurement intercomparisons.
