Type of article: Article

Summary

The authors considered decreasing the acceleration of the racks to keep the goods from falling down during earthquakes. They constructed the first auto-rack storage with a seismic isolation system using high-damping laminated rubber bearings. A number of special devices are also described, for example, for preventing the rubber bearings from getting cold.
