Summary

THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE A METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE RATIONAL CONDITIONS OF ACTIVE VENTILATION SYSTEMS USING NATURAL COLD FOR THE STORAGE OF POTATOES AND VEGETABLES. A SYSTEM OF DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS IS GIVEN, DESCRIBING THE HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER PROCESS IN THE STORED PRODUCTS, ON WHICH THIS METHOD WAS BASED. THE RESULTS OF THE CALCULATION OF THE EXPENSES MADE FOR THE ACTIVE VENTILATION SYSTEM ARE PRESENTED, WITH VARIOUS PARAMETERS AND SPECIFIC VENTILATION AIR CONSUMPTIONS.
