Type of article: Article
Summary
Examines the effect of hospital design on the working environment, as perceived by junior nursing and administrative staff in two London teaching hospitals. Points out that the increased rate of symptoms at the Royal Free Hospital may have resulted from inadequate function of the air conditioning services due to management economy measures. There was no increase in the rate of absenteeism.
