Summary
The two-dimensional governing equation of adsorbent layer, derived from local thermodynamic equilibrium and energy balance, is solved using a finite volume method in implicit scheme. The model is used to analyse important design parameters on the performance of the module. An appropriate number of metallic fins, air velocity, and contact resistance at the interface are the main parameters. Increasing the fin thickness seems to have little effect on the module performance.
