Summary
A new absorption refrigeration system was introduced to overcome the shortcomings of the higher operating pressure at which the system operates only with ammonia as refrigerant at a higher heating temperature and with two-stage generation. Water-lithium bromide system and ammonia-lithium nitrate system were coupled in the system, and the later was made up of two evaporators respectively at different temperatures. The operation performance of the present system was simulated thermodynamically. The effects of the heating temperature, the cooling-water temperature, the lower evaporator temperature, and the feasible operating conditions were analysed and discussed.
