Simulation of the operating characteristics of a H2O/LiBr absorption machine for a real process.

Summary

In this work, the possible application of a H2O/LiBr absorption machine in a real process is evaluated. The residual heat obtained from the industrial process will ensure the correct operation of the machine, but it would be convenient to know how the thermal system will behave for the whole year. To know the instantaneous dependence between environmental conditions and machine efficiency is the objective of this study. Results will also be compared using different technologies: air or water condensation. The study has been made for a demanded cooling power of 500 kW, and the machine will be installed in the east of Madrid.
