Summary

THE PROBLEM TO MAINTAIN COMFORT CONDITIONS IN UNDERGROUND RAILWAYS IS WELL KNOWN. HOWEVER, PRESENT KNOWLEDGE CONCERNING THIS PROBLEM ALLOWS ITS SOLUTION BY UTILIZING MATHEMATICAL MODELS. A PERSPECTIVE METHOD OF ANALYSIS IS PRESENTED AND DEVELOPED FOR THE THERMAL CONDITIONS OF LOW DEPTH UNDERGROUND TUNNELS; THIS METHOD SIMULATING THE REAL PROCESS IS CARRIED OUT ON A DIGITAL COMPUTER.
