Small cryocoolers: state of the art and applications.
Etat de l'art et applications des petits cryorefroidisseurs.
Author(s) : RAVEX A.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The author describes fundamental aspects of various low-capacity technologies used to achieve low temperature. These mechanical, self-contained cryocoolers use Stirling, Ericsson, Joule and Thomson cycles and pulse tubes. Many developments are currently taking place in this field but demand is not yet sufficient to enable prices to be decreased.
