TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF AN AIR-CONDITIONING PLANT OF A CELLAR FOR WINE-AGEING IN BOTTLES (3 MILLION BOTTLES, IN A 3-LEVEL 15,000 M3 CELLAR), LOCATED AT BANYULS-SUR-MER (SOUTHERN FRANCE). THIS PAPER GIVES THE RESULTS OF THE PRELIMINARY STUDY CARRIED OUT ON THE NATURAL CHANGES IN INSIDE TEMPERATURES BEFORE STATING THE OBJECTIVES OF ARTIFICIAL AIR-CONDITIONING. IT THEN DESCRIBES THE CHOSEN PLANT USING SOLAR ENERGY IN TWO LITHIUM BROMIDE-WATER ABSORPTION MACHINES, AS WELL AS ITS REGULATION PRINCIPLES AND HOW IT OPERATES IN COOLING OR HEATING. J.R.
