Solubility and viscosity of refrigerant-oil mixtures.

Author(s) : YOKOZEKI A. M.

Summary

General and practical models, based on thermodynamic theory, were developed for the refrigerant-oil solubility and successfully used in various systems for the first time. In addition, the viscosity of refrigerant-oil mixtures was studied, and a simple mixing rule is proposed. By combining these solubility and viscosity models, viscosity charts as functions of pressure, temperature, and compositions were done.
