SOME RESULTS OF INDUSTRIAL TESTS OF AMBIENT PLATE-TYPE CRYOGENIC EVAPORATOR.

Author(s) : MARINUK B. T., et al.

Summary

THE ACTIVE SURFACE OF THE PLANT TESTED IS COMPOSED OF A SERIES OF HEAT TRANSFER PANELS. EACH OF THESE PANELS IS A THIN-WALL METAL PLATE OF 1,850 X 450 X 2 MILLIMETERS MADE BY WELDING TECHNOLOGY IN SUCH A WAY THAT THERE ARE 8 LONGITUDINAL INTERNAL CHANNELS COLLECTED AT THE ENDS BY TWO CROSS CHANNELS WITH INLET AND OUTLET NOZZLES. THE PANELS ARE ARRANGED VERTICALLY IN A STEEL FRAME WITH A FIXED SPACING. THE CURVES OF FROST GROWTH RATE AT THE PANELS OF < WARM > AND < COLD > SECTIONS WERE DETERMINED. THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA ON TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE WERE COMPARED WITH THE RESULTS OF THE THEORETICAL CALCULATIONS.
