THE ARTICLE REPORTS CALCULATION METHODS CONCERNING SURFACE AND INTERSTITIAL CONDENSATION, WHICH HAVE BEEN VERIFIED BY A SERIES OF INSPECTIONS IN BUILDINGS. THESE METHODS ARE CONSI-DERED WITH THE AIM OF PROPOSING SIMPLE HYGROMETRIC RULES FOR BUILDINGS. TO PREVENT SURFACE CONDENSATION, THE CONTROL OF THE VENTILATION RATE AS A FUNCTION OF THE INDOOR PRODUCTION OF VAPOUR IS REQUIRED. THE BUILDINGS MUSTHAVE ADEQUATE THERMAL-INERTIA CHARACTERISTICS.
