Summary
The authors discuss indoor-environmental aspects of residential buildings and describe how to design buildings in order to comply with these requirements. Residential equipment in China is described and compared with that used in Japan. New Japanese domestic air conditioning and the feasibility of combining hot water supply, cooling, heating and ventilation systems are discussed, and an environmentally friendly Japanese house is presented.
