Summary

The short shelf life of cherries is related to high metabolism; decline in appearance is associated with decrease in brightness of fruit, drying and browning of stem and decay of fruit. This research was carried out in order to extend storage and to improve shelf life of cherries by means of modified atmosphere packaging.
